Esther Hunziker has realized various online art projects, videos, interactive animations and picture series. In her conceptually founded artwork she mixes virtual reality with real illusory worlds. During her studies of audiovisual design at the Basel School of Design she developed her own techniques and narrative forms, for example a special sample method of analog TV footage. She mastered the translation of magnetic recording into digital moving images with rare precision and liberty. In her later interactive NetArt projects, which are permanently accessible to the public on the Internet, she interweaves audiovisual material with text to nonlinear layering/patchwork narrations. Her abilities to deconstruct and to assemble become apparent in these projects. Esther Hunziker lives and works in Basel.
